For what it's worth, I did have some severe problems with my iMac 400 summer 2000 model when I placed a generic 128mb RAM chip in it. All sorts of crashes and other various problems. But they replaced the motherboard under warranty and the problems went away. That is also after I uninstalled AOL...

Now at my company all they buy is Kingston Ram. Since I started working there, it's all I buy too and I have never had any problems. I swear by it. Kingston Value Ram. Check pricewatch, you can usually find a good deal there.
