Francine: I don't think you really need anything. I have the original 233 IMAC with 160 mg of ram. I upgraded the HD to 10 gigs and an external HD to 80 gigs. I did have a problem with the 10 Gig due to the limit of 8 gigs for OSX on the old machines so I had to partition the 10 gig to 2 5 gigs to install OSX.
