has anyone tried this? the large capacity and high fidelity of miniDV tapes
combined with their cheap pricing and the firewire's fast speed make this an
intriguing option. any hints/ideas?
well..... playheads on tape drives and cameras have a limited play time or record time. you probably wouldn't want to do this with an actual camcorder, for fear of wearing out rather expensive hardware.
i would suggest finding a miniDV tape drive, if such a thing exists.
