dvdr compatibility?

Hello everyone!  What is the most efficient, working and compatible 
dvdr media out there (for the apple superdrive on new eMac)????  
Keeping in mind lower cost ones and dvdrs that will play well in dvd 
players that read dvdr media.  What dvdr media has worked for you?
