I have a strange problem with Audio CD's in my imac. It keeps on ejecting them and will not play. I have no problems with data cd's, dvd movies or even homemade Audio cd's. It only happens with store bought ones. When I insert one It sounds like it spins up for a second then immediately ejects them.
This happens in in both OS X and 9.2.2.(fresh installs) I've tried a dozen or so different cd's. I've checked my firmware on the imac and it is up to date. Is there and firmware update for the dvd rom? It's a Matshita SR-8184 slot loading cd-rom/dvd/rom This is an Imac 450 DV+ I don't know if the previous owner had the same problem or not. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
