I've got my SIL's iMacDV 400. It crashes on start up with a (Sorry, system error occured. "Time Synchronizer" error type 41).
She recently moved from her old residence and lost her original discs. I borrowed a set of discs from a friend that has an iMacDVSE 400. I can't get it to start up off of the Software Install disc while holding down the "C" key or while holding down command, option, shift, delete keys. While holding the last combo down I get a flashing ? mark on a folder like it's looking for a System Folder. If I just start it up with extensions off, while holding the spacebar, I get the extension manager I chose OS9.0.4 All but it still crashes. One other thing one of her brats stuck 2 CD's in the slot at the same time. Supposedly a neighbor got them out without forcing anything. What method they used I don't know but I can hear the CD-Rom spin up but I don't know if it's reading it or not. If I could just get it start up off the CD I feel sure I could straighten it out. I haven't had a Mac to stump before but there's a first time for everything. Anyone got any ideas. This one has me stumped. Any info would be appreciated.
