Recently moved from OS 8.6 to 9.2.1, then 9.2.2; reinitialized hard drive, then installed new OS (clean install) on 333, 512Mb iMac.
Have been pretty impressed with OS 9.2; doesn't hang nearly as often. Only one problem: when I am in a Eudora 5.1 email document and double click on an html link, IE takes about 10 seconds to launch. Under 8.6, it took 0.1 seconds to launch. Is there a setting somewhere in Eudora or IE that might bear on that?
First, try upgrading to at least version 5.2.
Second, the only delay comes if your web browser is NOT already running. I've noticed that if my web browser is not running the "delay" is the same whether I launch it via the link or the Dock
