Yesterday my number pad started acting odd. I have a Apple Pro Keyboard
with my 333 mHz iMac. The numbers on the number pad will work only if
the option key is held down. Makes no difference if the numlock is on
or off. I tried a different keyboard with no difference. I had made
changes recently to the USB Overdrive mouse software so I deleted it
including the kernal extension. I also deleted the Kensington mouse
driver kernal extension. No difference.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Do you have another computer you can plug the keyboard into to test it? Maybe a PC with USB or a friend's Mac?

I tried a different keyboard (the original mini-keyboard that came with my iMac) with no difference.

Otherwise, try rebooting holding down Shift to boot into "safe mode" (or
whatever OS X is calling it... basically, reboot without OS X
"extensions"). Does the problem go away?

Tried this......no difference. Actually other than the "safe boot" splash screen everything works just the same as in regular boot. If I am in "safe boot" should everything work the same?
