This may seem strange..none of my few friends even know what a Macintosh is! The world is firmly planted in the dark side! Airport to puchase here in Canada is about C$500.00 for both send and receive bits including taxes; so have opted for the hard wire method. I can run the connection lines for considerably less; mind cabling means one can stumble over same; however the locations I'd be using the computer are fixed, ie two or three specific locations. Biggest problem is dropping lines between floors...
