Well, gang, I personally, from the wisdom of my advanced years, think
that it is extremely poor taste and downright insulting to start
bleating about another "foreign" list on a list owned by another Mac guy
and particularly one owned by Dan. I have been a member of one or
another of his lists since the 90s, and I have only seen him kick
someone off a couple of times. Remember that obnoxious resident of the
UK? Dan has been providing a service to the Mac community and covering
all the various incarnations of Apple computers, for so long, at great
cost to his own income, with very little help from anyone, other than
the folk who advertise on his lists, and has had to hold down a couple
of part time jobs in order to survive. To Mr Krispy Kreme, go for it,
start another list...but first of all, go buy a G-5 and play with it for
awhile....or have you already done that? I have found so much great
information over all the years I have been on one or another of Dan's
lists, that I now never have any problems with my flat panel iMac, that
I cannot find an answer to. Like all lists, and I am on many food lists
as my other hobby is cooking hot & spicy, there are always those who
figure that they can do it better. Great! Free country, go try it, just
be certain that you are able to afford to do it, and hope you succeed.
My two cents worth, which I do not throw in often enough, perhaps!
