I inherited an iMac 400,,, 400MHZ/512k L2/128MB/13GB/56K/DVD/GR
The thing worked fine under 9.2. I went to upgrade it to OSX and it worked fine. Then I went to the Apple Website to upgrade the system software to 10.2... and the upgrade failed, twice. *Then* I read that I needed to do a firmware update, to 4.1.9, and that this firmware update needed to be done under 9.1 or .2 on a local drive.
Connect an external monitor, install Classic and then the firmware.
