Hi Kundan,

Yes, you are on the right track, but don't worry at all about partitioning.
It is just an application like any other, except that it runs in the
background. Install MySQL with CompleteMySQL and see that you set a root
password and make it run using the preference panel. The installation guide
is supposed to be reasonable comprehensive.

Then fool around with it using CocoaMysql, or YourSQL if you should like
that better. 

But you won't understand the strengths of MySQL if you don't learn some PHP
and make a dynamic home page somehow. Without that it is 'just' a database
with no nice front like Filemaker.
