If you were, very few of us would waste time talking to you. So we obviously don't think you're a numbskull.
But Words Mean Things. Nobody's asking for rocket-scientist levels of precision, but accurate language in a text-only medium is immeasurably helpful. YOU know what you mean when you say "whatchamacallit" versus the "thingamadoodle" next to it, but I can't see it and don't know what you mean.
