Bryce, no magic answer but one comment you made did ring a bell. You mentioned trying to use AW 6.2.7 with OS 9. It wont work. You need AW 6.2.5 with OS 9. I don't know the reasons behind the AW version differences, but Apple is very is very specific about using the appropriate AW version with each OS.
May be something you want to look into?
