Hi

I am running an iMac G3 600 with OS 10.1.5

For about 6 months I struggled to print in X but classic was fine. Until yesterday I
tried to have another crack at it. It is my
work iMac and networked to about 2 printers on the Mac network and 10 printers on the
PC network.

Using LPR printing I could get nothing out of OS X. I decided to try AppleTalk like
you would in normal OS 9 and all the
printers were installed and up and running in about 10 minutes.

Is it me or does 10.1 take a lot more from OS 9 than people give it credit for. My
colleague has a G4 1Ghz and running OS
10.2 and he cant get his AppleTalk on so has to struggle with LPR printing.

Anyone else found LPR to be a bit lame.
