Can't log in from Windows XP - It asks for name and password (It's all set
up right - I've done it hundreds of times), but I put them in and it wont
let me in.

I have a friend with a similar problem lately,

Any ideas?

I suspect this is a result of a really annoying problem I encountered in 10.2.x when trying to connect from Windows. There is a tick box at the bottom of the account details for each user that says 'Allow user to login from Windows'. This has to be ticked, however you can only set this if you login as a *different* ADMIN class user. It's a ruddy pain and I have 2 logins becuase of it on every 10.2.x machine I run. I'm glad to say it seems to have been fixed in Panther.

I just tried this in Jaguar. You can check the box, you have to enter your Current Password first and then it authenticates you and you can check the box.
