I'm not the original poster, but the CompUSA by me has been selling 120GB
drives (7200 RPM, 8MB Cache, brand name with a 1 year warrantee) for $59
(after a $40 mail-in rebate) every couple of weeks. If you get on their
e-mailing list they let you know when they're going to have them. The price
applies to their online store too, but that usually sells out as soon as the
email goes out.

120GB for $60 = $0.50 per Gigabyte.

I went in to buy something else on one of these days, and it was a strange
scene: store employees wheeling out more and more pallet loads of drives,
and shoppers scooping them up as soon as they hit the floor. Pretty much
every person walking around the store had a bright red hard drive box under
their arm and a goofy grin on their face.
