Hi All,

Sorry for the OT Question, but this list is such a great resource that I'm sure someone can help me.OT: Classic email software Hi All, Sorry for the OT Question, but this list is such a great resource that I'm sure someone can help me. My mom has a G3 All In One that I am having some trouble supporting with email. I am unable to use Entourage or OE, as her ISP will won't work with it for some reason (I spent a lot of time troubleshooting with them, to no avail). IE works just fine, for some reason...just not the email clients. I can get Netscape to work, both the browser & email client. However, the software is old, slow, & buggy. Can anyone recommend a free, stable, & easy to use email client for OS 9.2.2? She is 2 hours away & troubleshooting over the phone with someone with limited knowledge is difficult, to say the least. TIA

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
That way when you do criticize them you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Hi,

I've always found Eudora to be pretty good. I've generally found it to be easy to set up if you ignore all the wizzy bits that most people don't need and it runs faster than anything else I've tried.

The current version can be downloaded from http://www.eudora.com it's adware, but offers a lot of features like a spelling checker etc.

If you're just after a lean email client thats quick and easy with no ads etc you can download an older version called Eudora Light from ftp://ftp.qualcom.com/eudora/eudoralight/mac/english/313/ , if this version ran under OS X (I'm not running classic) it's what I'd be using today.

Just my two cents, all things being subjective your milage may vary...
Cheers,
Grev
