Yes, After I upgraded the RAM to 256 megs. It runs most things as fast or slightly faster than 9, but finder windows and menus are noticably slower than the old OS.

If your hard drive is larger than 8 gigabytes then you will need to repartition it, making the first partition 8 gigs or less. There's an issue with the iMacs firmware that will only let it boot off the the first 8 gigs of the drive.
