I'm sure that there's SOMETHING in some firewire cases that limits the size of drive you can use, but OWC and other online stores are selling 320GB FW400 drives based on the Oxford 911 chipset, so I don't think it's that: http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Item.cfm?ID=5803 They do use the 922 chipset in their FW800 drives though. I just spent a few minutes Googling trying to find out WHAT it is that limits hard drive size for external firewire cases, but couldn't find anything relevant.
