If you have system install/restore disks for the machine (or a license for a "universal/retail" copy of some version of the Mac OS), I'd recommend that you just erase the drive and reinstall the applications.
2nd question my boss wants to put this iMac on our Micrsoft Network do we need to buy a software program called DAVE in order to hook this computer up to our network via ethernet cable?
You didn't really give us enough detail (what OS is it running?), but if it's Mac OS X (10.2 or higher) then the short and basic answer is "no." It should be able to connect to the network more or less automatically (again, we'd need more detail about the network to say this without reservation). It also depends on what you mean by "put this iMac on the (Windows) network -- are we talking about sharing files? Sharing printers? Sharing internet connection?
