Hi iMacers, eMacers:

I just want to take a minute and let everyone know that factory refurbished qualifying Macs purchased after October 8, 2003 are eligible for the Mac OS X Up-To Date program.

After OS X 10.3 (Panther) and the Up-To Date program were announced I went to the web page to see if my iMac would be eligible. It said that it couldn't find my serial number. Okay. I assumed that it couldn't find the serial number of my iMac because it was refurbished and wasn't eligible. I had put Panther out of my mind until Tuesday, when I called to see if maybe it was eligible. The lady I spoke to at Apple said that a refurbished iMac would be eligible but she couldn't find my serial number either, probably because it was a refurbished iMac. She suggested that I download the order form and FAX or mail it in. I figured what the heck, it would only take a few minutes of my time and if it was eligible I would save a lot on the price of the Panther upgrade. Well, I faxed it in Tuesday afternoon and this afternoon the USPS delivered my copy of Mac OS X 10.3. 8)

The Mac OS X Up-To-Date program ends on December 26, 2003 and your order must be postmarked or faxed by December 17, 2003. The Mac OS X Up-To-Date web page can be found here <http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate/>.
