Where do I find all about grep? I just looked in Pogue's OS X book and find a section on Unix, with grep given 3 short paragraphs and very few examples. I do gather that I can use it from the command line in Terminal, rather than booting into Cmd+S?
But I'd like more specific examples of making a search that way before I undertake.
The simplest way is "man grep" from the command line. It will be terse but probably more helpful than your book because it's always there.
