Hi all "Mac Geniuses"

I have a 2001 iMac DV,10.2.8. 400 MHz, 256 ram, and a
10 gig hard drive, with just over 2 and half gigs left
I try to trim anything I can. I don't have an
external CD burner, (yet), but in the mean time I
noticed something in my "home"... as I went thru the
iTunes file flow chart I notice I had a few folders. I
open the iTunes folder to find the mini iTunes icon
followed by "iTunes 3 Music Library", and then next in
the list the icon followed by "iTunes 4 Music Library"
they each are 460 KB, and 696 KB, respectively.
Underneath that I have the folder icon followed by
iTunes Music, and finally a generic(for lack of a
better description) icon followed by iTunes Music
Library.xml. I do have the latest version of iTunes as
well, iTunes 4. As I investigated further I did notice
all my songs and things were in the "main" folder.
Also I am converting the song files to AAC as that
trims the fat, as well as makes them iTunes file, not
Quick time. The question is can I get rid of the first
two items, as they seem like unnecessary copies? Too
nervous to experiment as I don't have them backed up.
Pardon the long description for such a simple (
bordering on the stupid) question.

Thanks,
david the "hd space misor"
