Hi Listie's:

I have one of my iMac's a Rev.B I'm about to give to someone. I'm going to
include the original Software CD I got with it. It says "iMac Software
Install" on the front and is Orange in colour. When I boot off it and run
the installer is says the "firmware" is not up to date. Well the Boot ROM
version is 3.0.b2, and the OS Rom version is 1.6. The installer btw is for
OS 8.6. From what I've read the Boot Rom and Os Rom are enough uptodate to
install this. I tried doing the 3.0 firmaware installer, paperclip in
lower button hold to long beep, won't do it but I think it's because it's
already updated... to 3.0.b2? Does this installer for 8.6 just not
understand the firmware situ because it's newer?

Thanks for any help.

Regards,
Gareth
