Sounds like there is something wrong with the refresh rate. I dunno if that would be the DAC on the video card or the monitor itself? Maybe Panther is setting the rate to high for the little iMac. Hopefully someone smarter than I reads this and can tell you how to change the refresh rate. I imagine it is in the display properties under system preferences. I gave a 333MHz to my little sister, it's the only mac in my parents house and she loves it. Good idea for an xmas present! Hope that helps.
