Okay, I asked before, but it might have gotten lost in a snowstorm:
does anyone know how to set the priorities of a message in OS X Mail?

You don't. Well, not without the aid of a third-party plug-in for Mail, anyway.

Searching the help both off and on line has yielded nothing. Is this
something that they deleted from the parameters, or is it hidden in a
secret spot? Since I work from home, it's occasionally necessary to put
"High Priority" on a message.

Which doesn't make a whit of difference to anyone but Outlook users. It doesn't do anything to get your mail there faster (contrary to popular myth) and since most spam is flagged "high priority" it can also work AGAINST you getting your mail read.

Still, if you want it, you can have it. Do a search on "Mail priorities" on macupdate.com -- the plug-in I refer to was updated very recently.
