Hi all. I'm new to the List, but I've been a consumer of the iBook List for
years.
I am about to buy the new 20" iMac with a 160 GB HD and no extra RAM (as I
am sure I could upgrade it to 768 MB on my own for far less $$). I am
wondering if there are any issues I need to be aware of about this iMac.
I'm a fairly savvy OS X user (I currently run Panther on my 366 iBook SE),
and I plan to use it for the usual Internet surfing, Email, Word and Excel
uses, plus I expect to do some Photoshopping, and eventually some FinalCut
Pro video editing. Anything to worry about with the 1.25 GHz 20" model?
If there are then they won't surface for another year at least. Get an extended AppleCare warranty and sit back and watch a DVD on that HUGE screen ;-)
Oh and you might need eyes on stalks to see the edges of the screen if you sit in front of it!
Seriously - no I don't think so. I'm just jealous because I only have a 15" 800MHz :-(
