Well, maybe I am not following, but if you have pulled the NIC card out of the computer, that could certainly explain why you haven't got any Ethernet connectivity!!

It might have escaped your notice, but Pro-sumer Macs like the G3 have had built-in ethernet since 1994 :-)


The NIC was a second card added to allow routing.

I fixed it anyway - I'd left the IP Sharing on and it was conflicting with that of the 9600. No big sweat.
