Hello.....This is Bill Post (A Recycled Teenager) - A First time user of the list.
For the past couple of months, whenever I try to download software from various sources (Version Tracker, MacUpdate, and others like these. I click on the hyperlinks or buttons and do whatever is requested.
On the bottom left hand side of the browser window, in the Status Bar it stops (Freezes) and these words appear---INTERNET ZONE.
What am I doing wrong? if you don't understand the above let me know and I will try to do better.
Sounds like it is an Internet Exploder (IE) thing. First, try using Safari instead of IE. Internet Explorer has selection for security zones in the Preferences section. Clicking on it and then selecting the Internet Zone will let you see what level of security is in effect. It could be set to High when Medium might be better.
