D-Link makes a 10/100 PCI card that has Mac drivers. Its a readily available card sold to the plethora of Windows users at any computer/electronics store (my local CompUSA and BestBuy both sell it). It sells for about $20. The catch however is, they specify that it works with 9.x and 10.x and I noticed you said you are using 8.1.
