If it's SCSI you want in your iMac, Formac made a SCSI card to go into the Rev A, and B iMacs. I had one, it worked great!! Though drivers have to be loaded in order for it to work, so it wouldn't boot to a SCSI drive of any type. Any USB to SCSI adapter, which I am unaware of, would have a few problems I can think of. SCSI is WAY faster than USB, so you'd never realize the speed of the SCSI device since it's limited by the USB port and it's "emulation." USB CD-RWs can be found, and probably cheaper than a SCSI by the time you're done adapting it. The problem is that the Rev A's were never designed to boot to an external anything since the ROM (if I remember my terms correctly) loads after boot. That's also why it's a drag to find a CD-R replacement for the tray loading drive that you could boot from, none that I know of, though it's been a while since I looked.
