dear list

I have a g4 running 10.2.8, in the system preferences panel under network appletalk is switched on but when I go into print center and add printer it tells me appletalk is inactive and directs
me to the network panel. Therefore I am unable to print via appletalk and have to use ip printing this is confusing as I have a g3 imac running 10.2.8 on the same network which has no
problems browsing the appletalk zone and connects and prints to all printers in list.

I have talked to aplle and browsed the web to no avail can somebody please help

Simon Royal

In 10.2, AppleTalk is turned on via Directory Services. It's in the Applications/Utilities folder.
