Ken, Did you go direct from the turntable to the computer mic jack? TJ
I've been using Roxio's Toast software to copy from vinyl to CD on my> iMac (OS 10.1), and have been reasonably happy with it.
I don't know if turntable direct to computer works or not. I use a Y-connector to go from a line out (for tape deck) on my receiver to the computer.
