printing confusion!

Now I'm really confused: I have a PowerMac G5, and an Epson CX 6400. 
Normally, they work beautifully together. However, today, twice I've 
tried to print something from Mail, with the result that the full text 
doesn't print, and what does print is mirror image! I checked the 
settings--everything's normal. When I print other things from Mail, in 
the same session. they come out fine.

Any ideas?? Searching the Knowledge Base and looking on the Epson site 
have given no joy!
