Don't know why not, since many of them shipped with DVD drives, including this Ruby I'm typing on. (Are you sure yours doesn't have one?) Only time I saw a slot loading DVD burner, though, it was quite expensive, so my plan is to get an external firewire DVD burner instead, which I hope should also work.
