My first mac was a mac plus. It didn't have a hard drive that worked, so i used the second floppy. I was about nine at the time. Right after that i saved up for six months to afford an Si2...i had lots of fun on that machine, playing on futurebasic. After than, an LC040 (LC040). I thought it was the fastest thing in the world, and i won all three marathon games on it - 1, 2, and infinity. At about that time i bought a powerbook 170 off ebay. I was the coolest kid in high school. For some reason, the chicks didn't think so.
Soo....for the last 13yrs i've been making my way up. I've been super happy with them. I've made lots and lots of converts, and some of them have even made their own converts. That doesn't make this a cult, does it? ;)

Hi Lary:
You are not alone. My first Mac was a Performa 450 purchased in late 1993. I
now have more than 25 different working Macs some of them here in Ontario and
the rest in my winter home in Florida. My laptops go from the Mac Portable to
the first iBook. From my desk i can turn and work with 9 different Macs.

Hey, congratulations on your first Mac! If you're like the rest of us (lurkers and non-lurkers) it won't be your last.
I just want to verify my sanity here.
I got into Macs 1993 when I bought an LCIII. I then discovered the older Macs along with the Apple ][, /// and Lisa and so the story goes on.
I have now owned in excess of 110 Apples and Macs, the only ones I have never owned are:
TAM G3 AIO (non-Swedish & I'm in Sweden) iBook Ice iMac FP G5
Those are the only Apple and Mac models that I have never owned and knowing me I will strive to get them...
Anyone else have similar idiotic collections ?
Larry
P.S. No, I haven't kept them all...
