I've got a HARD question for everyone - will the 1ghz eMac take DDR Ram? I've heard rumor upon rumor that it will, but i'm not willing to max out my e-mac's ram until I know of my options.
It depends on the specific emac. the first 1GHz ones took PC133 SDRAM, but the current 1GHz models take DDR333 SDRAM.
There are no current 1GHz models. The current models are all 1.25GHz.
All the 1GHz eMacs take PC133 ram. PC66/PC100/PC133 ram is not interchangeable with DDR ram. They have a different number of pins.
1GHz eMacs are still available from the education store, and take the same DDR333 ram as the 1.25GHz models.
