Thanks Ken for the idea. I shutdown both computer and printer, turned on printer and then turned on computer.
But with both accounts open I still cannot print. It prints fine with only one or the other account open only,
but not with two open. Could this be something as simple as not enough RAM? I only have 128 mb.

Have the printer already turned on when you boot up your computer. It
worked for me!

Thanks Kim for the great information.
I repaired the permissions and downloaded and ran Printer Set-up
Repair, but neither solved the problem.
Thanks for your help, I'll keep working on it.

I would suggest running Repair Permissions from the Disk Utility
first, and
if that fails to help, check out Print Center Repair:

I just purchased an eMac and plugged my HP psc 750 Printer into it.
I
am able to print fine with one login account set up, but as soon as I
change to two login accounts when I try to print the printing starts
and then stops and changes to idle mode. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for your help
