If you are referring to my last email when I said I use the video mirroring to post desktop video to VHS... let me further explain. I use the video mirroring VGA port on the back of my iMac to connect to a VGA to NTSC (regular US TV) converter. That lets me hook up to a VCR so I can record on video tape everything that is happening on my iMac screen. I do this for a few reasons. 1: when I create a movie in iMovie or Final Cut and want to output to VHS or VideoCD, this is faster and easier then having the iMac render a video CD MPEG that I can then burn to CD (this works for me only because I own a standalone VideoCD burner, so it records to CD at real time). I also do it for creating training videos on how to use an application. I can use the program and demonstrate whatever it is I need to show on my iMac, and the video mirror lets me capture that to VHS to play back at another location at a later time. So when I said "desktop video" I really should have said "videos of my desktop" or "videos of whatever is happening on my iMac".
