Most likely you either have your user name entered incorrectly in your mail program or the passwd is wrong. It's also possible since I take it your overseas that you may have connected and the session timed out, in which case the POP server might think your still connected and would give you that error until the mail spool regenerates. In any event, check with your ISP and see what their logs show. If they show no error try to connect to server again while they tail the log.
