I'm considering upgrading the hard drive on my iMac DV 400 to a 120G Maxtor L01P120 7200rpm Ultra Ata/133, but the manufacturer recommends an ATA PCI card for non-G4 Macs. Does anyone know if it will install in a slot-loading G3? I see two reports - one positive, one negative - about it on the xlr8yourmac.com drive database and neither mentions any problems or add-ons required.
