My iMac DV 400 (1GB RAM, Panther) is doing weird things all of a
sudden. I think it knows I've ordered a powerbook. The first thing I
noticed was that the icons on the desktop weren't snapping to grid. I
went to "show view options" and "snap to grid" was no longer selected
so I selected it. That same day, while I was using the computer, the
resolution changed. I changed it back and sent a post to this list
(but had no response :( . ) A day or two later, I noticed that the
alert sound was different, but before I got around to checking it out,
it was back to my setting again. I have two printers attached by USB
hub, an HP LaserJet 1220 and a Canon S800. I can't print on either
one. The documents go to cue, then give me some kind of alert that I
can't do anything about. I immediately thought it was a full HD, but I
had 1.8GB remaining on a 10GB HD. So I decided to repair permissions
(which I've never done before), and when it was finished, I now had
1.7GB remaining. Anyway, it did not help my printer problems.
Any suggestions????
Claire
