I bet if you do the clean install it will be a GREAT little computer -- just avoid loading it up with too much "bloatware" and you'll be fine.

I believe, if you're not going to install OS X, upgrading to 9.1 ought to be enough. As far as I know, 9.2 was created mainly to jibe with OS X -- it's not a necessary upgrade for a "classic" Mac.

I'm still running 9.1 on my Rev. "D", in fact -- I didn't do the 9.2 upgrade because our Iomega CD-burner only works up to OS 9.1 -- it won't work with 9.2 or X. I've had zero problems with 9.1 and X -- but I don't run "classic" out of X very often -- I just reboot to whichever OS I need to use at the time.

I'm having ongoing quirky problems with a used rev B I bought. It runs 9.2.2. I do not have the install disk, but have a 9.0.4 disk I bought a while back. If I have to do a clean install with the 9.0.4 disk to try and straighten this bondi puppy out, can I? I'm sure the previous owner did any firmware updates when he upgraded to 9.2. Thanks!
