The compact keyboard for my Rev D seems to have gone west, thanks to a collapsing keyboard shelf which I think has damaged or disconnected the USB cable. Right now, I haven't the time or the tools to try a repair. Nor did I want to wait for a new kb by mail order, and there's no Mac reseller nearby.

So I rushed out and bought a cheap Logitech USB keyboard. Supplied Mac software is for OS X only, but I figured that meant the extra internet/media keys wouldn't work in OS 9.1, and I don't need those. Sure enough, the keyboard works as expected: the only annoyance being that the command and option keys are transposed.

I can live with that, but I know it's possible to remap them using ResEdit. I *think* I need to edit the System Suitcase's KMAP resource, but I can't find any details: all Google trails lead to a Resexcellence article which has disappeared.

So, anybody know how, or a different source for this info?

Miche.
