Here is a complete list of the legal music downloading sites that work
with Macs:
1. iTunes Music Store



2. http://music.download.com/

Evidently I did not make clear that I was referring to large-scale commerical operations that work with and offer the catalogs of the Big 5 record labels (and others).


There are of course MANY MANY places where one can pick up LEGAL free music downloads. Most band sites have sample tracks, sites such as the one above and most other "music-orientated" sites have MP3s that it's okay to share and so on. There are also SCORES of MP3 streaming "internet radio stations" and music feeds.

What I meant was that of the large legal commercial download sites such as iTMS, the only one I'm sure works with Macs is the iTMS (though I'm led to understand that eMusic is planning a relaunch and should work with Macs at that time).
