A very common problem in school settings. In older systems this info was 
kept in the "AppleShare Prep" file (Preferences). OS 9 introduced a 
"Servers" subfolder of the System folder. Just trash everything in the 
Servers folder and restart. I always toss AppleShare Prep and AppleTalk 
Preferences as well to get a complete reset.

I don't recommend using the automount checkboxes at all, unless your 
network and servers are very stable. You can quickly mount a previously 
mounted share under Apple Menu, Recent Servers.
