I'm a pretty easy going guy. But, Carmen is getting on my nerves. I don't see what possible contribution a 10 year old can make and all she is doing is annoying ME.

Isn't there a wonderful kids Mac group for her?

hey hey hey

i'm only 15, and i got my first mac when i was only 7, and soon became very fluent (so to speak) in mac use.

don't start criticizing him cause he's only 10. jeez, we already have too few mac users, so dont go squashing them out and discouraging them.

*raises glass* here here... however, kids into macs is a rare thing, it shouldn't be squashed so quickly. Methinks she would be better off just playing about with it for now. This really is an adult forum and for one her posts are totally useless mini-questions that could be answered with a little research not to mention they are very annoying!

Carmen, Its great that you're taking an interest, but really, you're too young for a list like this, I started out with an LC475 back in 1993 and there was no internet connection, i didn't have a list to join, and <modesty mode off> i am utterly fantastic with computers in general, not half bad at REALBasic programming, and my web-design capabilities have skyrocketed, throw in a bit of PHP here, link up with a MySQL database or two and bobs-your-uncle, utterly fantastic dynamic websites, not to mention i'm pretty sure i could set up a linux webserver with all the bells and whistles on in my sleep! <modesty mode on> and all i did at your age was play about with KidPix and do homework with ClarisWorks (only sometimes if my dad turned the computer on, i wasn't allowed to :( ). If the more advanced side of computing is meant for you, then you'll get there soon enough. :)

By all means stay on the list, but if you don't have anything to say...

thank you for that
