I have spent quite some time reading an OSX manual, looking in the Mac Help files, and searching the web. I can't find anything that tells me in simple words how to do it. I know this maching has an internal mic. Will that work? And if so, how? Or do I need to get some further software?

Use Sound Studio that comes with Mac OS X to record your voice with the internal microphone, you may have a microphone or line-in port that you can use if you wish but why complicate things unless the internal one is rubbish?

Once you've recorded it, save it as AIFF and import it into iTunes.

Once in iTunes, make a new playlist for the Cd and put the audio file in it. Click "Burn Disc" and TADA!. ;)

Note, check in iTunes preferences that it will burn as an audio CD and not a data CD. If you use a CD-RW it will only play in computers and certain CD-Players. If you use a CD-R it will play in all CD players.
