Does anyone know if these utilities are of any use at all in terms of support for Macs running any flavour of System 9 ? I know that it WILL run on any iMac that can run the OSX but are the DSS programs useful in terms of OS9.x software support ?

Michael,

DATA SAFETY SUITE just seems to be three separate products sold in one box.

I have their DATA Backup product and there are separate versions for OS 9 (DATA Rescue Classic) and OS X (DATA Rescue X). I also have their DATA Rescue X that is OS X only, however there are versions available for older OS versions: Classic covers OS 8.6 through 9.x, while Legacy covers non-PPC machines running 8.1 I don't have DATA Recycler, but that seem to be OS X only since it can recover files deleted in OS X.

If you just need OS 9 software, then look at the Classic versions of DATA Rescue & DATA Backup.
